Receivers & Amplifiers

From a first integrated amp to a tube preamp you’ll keep for decades — tube and solid-state, with warranties that actually last and people who can explain the difference.

Dared Saturn

We stock new integrated amps from Rotel, Denon, Marantz, and Yamaha. Rotel’s A10, A11, A12, and A14 start around $599, all with phono and line inputs, speaker and headphone outputs, and a five-year warranty — where many pricier competitors give you only two.

Most add Bluetooth, optical and coax digital inputs, and outputs for a second pair of speakers and a sub.

For surround, we carry AV receivers from Denon, Marantz, and Yamaha, plus Parasound preamps and power amps like the P6 and A23+.

Tube amplifiers

PrimaLuna makes the best-reviewed affordable tube amps we know — point-to-point wiring, automatic tube bias, and a removable steel tube cage. The EVO100 preamp and EVO400 integrated (70W/ch, EL34 tubes, built-in tube headphone amp) carry a three-year warranty.

Tubes give midrange and highs a warm, three-dimensional ease you can listen to all day — and if your current system sounds too bright, a tube preamp can tame it.

Our vintage solid-state amps include McIntosh, Pioneer, Phase Linear, Nakamichi, Kenwood, Yamaha, and more. On the tube side, look for McIntosh, Fisher, Dynaco, Scott, Eico, Pilot, and Heathkit. Everything is tested and guaranteed; stock rotates, so call for today’s lineup.
