Pro-Ject

Every PRO-JECT model is MADE IN EUROPE & INCLUDES a TONEARM, damped cueing and DIAMOND NEEDLE CARTRIDGE.

Pro-Ject is our most affordable European-made turntable.

We stock T1, DEBUT CARBON EVO and DEBUT PRO turntables. T1 includes an ORTOFON OM5 cartridge and a glass platter. We stock T1 and DEBUT CARBON EVO in walnut and black finishes. DEBUT CARBON EVO is the most popular European-made turntable in Europe & the U.S. It includes a carbon fiber tonearm, $150 Sumiko cartridge, three speeds [33/45/78 rpm], a much thicker and heavier base and is $599. DEBUT PRO has a better carbon tonearm, platter and base than the CARBON EVO. DEBUT PRO recently won an award for BEST VALUE TURNTABLE.

The RM1.3 for $599 is the next model above the Carbon. RM1.3 features a $100 Sumiko Oyster cartridge, 1.25" thick resonance-optimized wood platter, three-point wood plinth, plus an isolated motor assembly, optimized for low noise and speed stability. Three nylon cone feet reduce noise and vibration. The RCA cables can detach, permitting easy upgrades. Many $1000+ turntables don't have detachable cables. It looks like a modern sculpture and comes in your choice of a high gloss red, black or white finish.

For over 100 years, Thorens has handcrafted superb turntables in Switzerland and Germany. We have many great Thorens vintage models in stock:

THORENS w/walnut base: TD124 w/Ortofon arm, TD125, TD126 w/1" solid walnut base. TD146, TD150, TD170.

TD224 automatic changer.

THORENS w/mahogany base: TD165, TD165 II.

We only sell these in our store; no shipping.

Thorens is the world's oldest turntable manufacturer. They began in Switzerland in 1883. Many audio reviewers rate Thorens as the best vintage turntable. All have walnut or mahogany wood bases. Most have platters weighing over 7 pounds on a sub-chassis independently suspended from the base. Many Thorens' tonearms use Swiss watch bearings.
